FUNAAB’s 31st Convocation Ceremony Kicks Off, Prof Yakubu Ochefu To Deliver Lecture

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), on Friday, January 19, 2024, commenced its 31st Convocation Ceremony with a Jumat Prayer at the University Mosque.

The sacred occasion, held at 1 p.m., brought together the University community in a moment of spiritual unity.

Continuing the celebration, an Interdenominational Church Service was held today at the University Chapel of Grace. It was a time of spiritual reflection setting the tone for a memorable blend of spirituality, intellectual discourse, and academic achievement for the entire University community.

The Vice- Chancellor, Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde would address a Press Conference on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the Red Chamber to brief the world on the convocation, giant strides of the University and set the tone for greater heights.

According to a statement by Mrs. Oluwatoyin Morufat Dawodu, the Ag. Registrar of FUNAAB, the press conference will hold from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m while the Convocation Lecture will hold on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Renowned scholar Prof. Yakubu Ochefu, the Secretary General of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU), will deliver a Lecture titled “From Baby Boomers to Generation Alpha: Interrogating Generational Dynamics and Agriculture Education in Nigeria.” The Lecture is scheduled to take place at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building at 3:00 p.m.

The climax of the week-long celebration is the Award of First and Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diploma, and Honorary Degrees on Saturday, January 27, 2024 starting at 10:00 a.m.
