The Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced the programmes for the 30th Convocation Ceremonies of the University starting from Friday, August 4, 2023. Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education and former Vice-President of the World Bank (Africa Region) will deliver the 30th Convocation Lecture of the prestigious University.
The convocation ceremonies starts on Friday, August 4, 2023 and ends on Saturday, August 12, 2023. This is as contained in a press release by the Registrar of the University, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola.
The release further stated that the award of First Degrees to deserving graduands of the University holds by 10am on Friday, August 11, 2023 while the Convocation Lecture and Award of Higher Degrees holds by 10am on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
” According to the University Management, the week-long events is expected to commence with Jumat Service on Friday, August 4, 2023at the University Mosque by 1p.m
This will be followed by an Interdenominational Church Service at the University Chapel by 9:30am on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Convocation Press Conference will hold on Thursday, August 10, 2023at 10am, after which there will be commissioning of projects at various sites on campus starting from 11am”.
