According to a statement issued by the Ag. Head, Directorate of Public Relations, Mr. Olasunkanmi Olajide, the Stanford University Global Ranking of Top Scientists, published annually by Elsevier, highlighted the most influential researchers worldwide across diverse scientific disciplines. Mr. Olajide stated further that the ranking was based on standardised citation metrics, including total citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted citations, and a composite indicator that reflected the overall impact and relevance of each scholar’s research contributions.
The listing was presented in two distinguished categories, namely the Career-Long Impact, which celebrated scholars whose sustained contributions have significantly shaped their fields on a global scale, and the Single-Year Impact, which recognised exceptional research performance and influence within the most recent year.
