Mrs Oluwatoyin Morufat Dawodu has been apointed as the Acting Registrar of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) with effect from October 1, 2023.

The appointment of Mrs Oluwatoyin Morufat Dawodu was sequel to the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Olusola Babatunde Kehinde FGSN,FIHS to the the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Mrs Oluwatoyin Morufat Dawodu was appointed as the Acting Registrar by a letter dated September 25, 2023 and signed by the Vice – Chancellor of the University, Prof. Olusola Babatunde Kehinde.

The instrument of the appointment read:

“Following the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Hakeem Adebola Adekola, the Registrar of the University and the absence of the Governing Council to complete the process uof appointing a substantive Registrar of the University, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved my recommendation that you be appointed as the Acting Registrar of the University”.

ValidViewNetwork had earlier reported the gracious bowing – out of Dr. Hakeem ‘Bola Adekola, the fourth substantive Registrar of the University after a successful tenure.

Mrs.Dawodu, the new Acting Registrar is banking on her wealth of experience spanning through Thirty Three (33) years in University administration; Fourteen (14) years of which she judiciously utilized as Deputy Registrar in various arms of the University.

Prior to her appointment as Acting Registrar, Mrs Dawodu was Deputy Registrar 1(Academic Staff, Establishment).

She is a product of the famous St. Teresa’s College, Oke Ado, Ibadan and attended the prestigious Premier University, University of Ibadan (UI) where she studied Psychology and Clinical Psychology for her first degree and second degree respectively.

Mrs.Dawodu joined the services of the University in 1990 as Administrative Officer and rose through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar in 2009.

In 2020, she was appointed Deputy Registrar 1, in recognition of her immense contributions to effective and efficient service delivery.

She is a former Chairman of Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), FUNAAB Branch and belong to many other professional bodies which include but not limited to Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) and Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria where she is a Fellow.
