Ranks 11th as Best Value University for International Students
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has added another feather to its cap by attaining the 11th position as the Best Value University for International Students among 149 universities in Nigeria.
This achievement placed FUNAAB within the Top 25% of the Best Value University World Rankings by Study Abroad Aide, which assessed 8,060 private and public higher educational institutions across 69 countries.
Study Abroad Aide, headquartered in South Korea and recognised as the largest and most comprehensive database of universities globally, focused on providing articles, guides, and valuable information to students planning to study abroad.
As a sister company of Global Scholarships, renowned for being a leading scholarship database for international students, Study Abroad Aide employed a meticulous methodology in its rankings.
The criteria for identifying Best Value universities included affordable tuition fees, excellent academic reputations, accredited as a tertiary educational institution offering Bachelor’s and/or Master’s programmes, maintaining an official university website, and regularly updating the list of tuition fees.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, in his congratulatory message to the University, urged the entire University community to sustain the momentum of accolades, emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving greater results and building a 21st-century University.
Recalling recent achievements, FUNAAB was recognised as the best University of Agriculture in Africa and ranked 7th globally according to the Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 World University Rankings (WUR).
Additionally, the University secured the titles of the Best University in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science in Nigeria, according to research.com.
In the “THE WUR 2023,” FUNAAB received recognition as a Category A institution in Nigeria, and emerged as the 2nd Best in the country, affirming its status as the Best Public University in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the Best Value University rankings underscore the combined factors of affordability and academic reputation, catering specifically to the database for international students.
With 1.6 million visitors in 2022, Study Abroad Aide stands as the most comprehensive global database of universities, with its rankings and content being widely shared by institutions across Europe and Asia.
