The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is poised to kick-start a series of activities for its 27th Global Convention and 26th Annual Lecture, beginning on January 8, 2025.
Highlights of the event included an Exhibition scheduled to take place on the University’s Motion Ground from January 9 to 11, 2025; a Mega Alumni Set Reunion and a Novelty Football Match on January 10, 2025, including the highly anticipated Lecture Series on January 11, 2025 at the Red Chamber.
The Convention Lecture would be delivered by Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Member of the House of Representatives for Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency. The Keynote Address would be given by Chief Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, former Presidential Candidate and CEO of Global Energy Executive.
Royal Fathers gracing the occasion as Fathers of the Day include HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland; Oba Abdur-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, Asoludero, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land and Pro-Chancellor of FUNAAB; as well as Oba AbdulRasheed Abayomi Banjo, the Olokine of Ojowoland in Ijebu Igbo.
The event would be chaired by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), representing Ogun West Senatorial District. The Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, would serve as the Chief Host, while the Global President of the Alumni Association, Mr. Bolaji Gbadamosi, would be the Host.
This grand gathering promises to celebrate the enduring legacy of FUNAAB and its alumni, showcasing their contributions to national and global development.
