COPS are understood to be looking into if Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer had an accomplice.
It’s being revealed that FBI agents are investigating footage which allegedly shows suspected gunman Tyler Robinson on a doorbell camera talking about the shooting moments after the assassination.
Questions are now reportedly being asked as to whether Robinson, 22, had someone help him or who knew about the killing but remained silent.
Detectives interviewed a family on Thursday afternoon who lived in the neighbourhood next to the university campus who handed over the footage.
We can reveal it shows a man walking past the house – which backs onto a wood – talking into a mobile phone about the shooting just minutes after it happened.
A police probe is now understood to be underway to look into if the man is Robinson.
Officials had said in an earlier press conference that they believe the shooter acted alone but that all lines of enquiry are ongoing.
The alleged assassin was handed over to police on Thursday night after confessing to the shooting of the conservative activist in Utah.
Robinson was recognised by his dad from photos that had been released by the FBI the day before.
Dad Matt called cops and confronted his son who admitted to the attack but allegedly said: “I would rather kill myself than turn myself in.”
He then convinced him to speak to a youth minister, who also serves as a task force officer with the US Marshals Service, who later called the FBI.
It comes after detectives were desperately searching for Mr Kirk’s killer after he was shot on Wednesday while addressing students at Utah Valley University campus.
The 31-year-old, an ally of Donald Trump and co-founder of the country’s largest conservative youth organisation Turning Point USA, was struck by a single bullet from a sniper.
The news that the suspect had been caught was announced by President Donald Trump on a morning television show on Friday.
He said: “I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him.
“In custody.
“Essentially, someone that was very close to him turned him in.”
The FBI – who gave a press conference shortly after Trump’s bombshell revelation – told the public: “We got him.”
FBI director Kash Patel gave a personal message at the end saying: “To my friend Charlie Kirk. Rest now brother. We have the watch and I’ll see you in Valhalla.”
Robinson – who is from Washington, Utah – made the 240 mile journey on Wednesday morning to Utah Valley University in a grey Dodge Challenger arriving at approximately 8.29am local time.
Around four hours later Mr Kirk was shot dead at 12.10pm local time.

Robinson then dumped the rifle in a nearby neighbourhood and drove off in his car.
The bolt action rifle used to kill Mr Kirk was then found dumped behind some trees at a property five doors down.
A source said that a car was parked nearby and left oil spills on the road as it sped away.
