Fatoyinbo Apologizes to Christ Apostolic Church Over Comments on Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola’s Legacy

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Global Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has issued a detailed apology and clarification following widespread controversy over his recent remarks about the late Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, the revered first General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

Pastor Fatoyinbo, deeply moved by the backlash, released a press statement expressing gratitude for the correction and clarifying that no disrespect was intended toward Apostle Babalola, his family, or the CAC. He acknowledged Apostle Babalola as a “most distinguished father of faith” whose exploits continue to influence Christian churches in Nigeria and beyond. Fatoyinbo stated he grew up in the church and treasures its heritage profoundly. He denied ever speaking ill of Babalola’s children and apologized if his words caused any distress or misunderstanding.
