Aremu Faruk Adeyemi, a 400-level Computer Science student at Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria, has emerged as the fastest male student in Africa. He clinched the gold medal in the men’s 100m event at the FASU Games, finishing in an impressive 10.70 seconds.
Adeyemi outshone competitors from across the continent, including University of Ghana’s Kyeremateng Nathaniel (silver, 10.74s) and Mbila Moses (bronze, 10.80s). Notably, Adeyemi was the sole Nigerian representative in the final.
This triumph solidifies Adeyemi’s status as Africa’s fastest male student, bringing pride to Nigeria and FUOYE.
