The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State has formally inaugurated a 195-member PBAT-KOH 2027 Campaign Council, with party leaders, traditional rulers and grassroots stakeholders endorsing a slate of five candidates popularly described as the “Perfect 5.”
The inauguration, held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the Epe Local Government Secretariat under the theme “Lagos Forward Together,” brought together members of the Local Government Working Committee, ward executives, councillors, community leaders, women and youth representatives. The council is coordinated by Mr Giwa Idris Olayinka, with the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, serving as Co-Coordinator.

Addressing the gathering, Princess Animashaun stressed the need for unity, strategic coordination and sustained grassroots mobilisation. She charged the newly inaugurated members to approach their responsibilities with dedication, commitment and unwavering loyalty, describing the assignment as one that demands a united front and purposeful engagement with residents across the local government.
“It is my pleasure to be part of this committee,” she said. “I urge co-members to fully support the APC candidates, remain committed to strengthening the party’s presence across the local government, and take the mobilisation exercise seriously in order to achieve our objectives.”

Alhaji Akanni Sakiru Seriki, a member of the APC Governance Advisory Council (GAC), called on party members and residents to back the candidates, emphasising the value of continuity in governance. He formally endorsed the five candidates and urged stakeholders to work collectively to secure electoral support ahead of the 2027 polls.
The Oloja of Epe Division and Paramount Ruler of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, also addressed the event. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Hon. Wale Raji and Hon. Abiodun Tobun for their contributions in their respective positions. The monarch urged residents and political stakeholders to support the continuity of these administrations and representations while sustaining engagement with leaders at all levels of government.
In his acceptance speech, Campaign Council Coordinator Giwa Idris Olayinka thanked party leaders, elders and stakeholders for their presence. He described the inauguration as more than a formal ceremony, calling it “the beginning of a collective responsibility anchored on dedication, discipline, purpose and shared progress.”

Olayinka charged members to remain proactive, uphold high standards of conduct and demonstrate integrity, accountability and loyalty.
He stressed that the success of the council would depend not on the positions members occupy but on the quality of commitment and service they deliver.
A central highlight of the event was the formal endorsement of the “Perfect 5”: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term; Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat for Lagos State Governor; Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru for Lagos East Senatorial District; Hon. Wale Raji for Epe Federal Constituency; and Hon. Abiodun Tobun for Epe Constituency I.
The gathering attracted a broad cross-section of stakeholders, including traditional rulers, political appointees, Baales, Olorituns, artisans, youths and other party faithful. Their presence underscored the shared commitment within Epe APC structures to the party’s 2027 electoral goals.
The inauguration forms part of the wider APC mobilisation drive across Lagos State as the party consolidates its structures ahead of the general elections. Similar campaign councils have been rolled out in other local governments and LCDAs under the PBAT-KOH banner, reflecting a coordinated effort to strengthen grassroots engagement and secure continuity of leadership from the presidency through the state and federal constituencies.
