In a significant move to safeguard communities and eliminate crime across forests and farmlands, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has commissioned 428 new personnel today to join the ranks of the Anti-Grazing Unit, Agro-Marshal Corps, and the Amotekun Security Network.
At the official passing out ceremony, the governor highlighted the initiative’s focus: ensuring that farms and forests remain free from criminal activities and grazing-related disputes, while strengthening the state’s local intelligence-based policing. This deployment is expected to bolster security efforts and foster a safer environment for residents and farmers alike.

The newly inducted operatives will serve as a force multiplier, targeting banditry, crop destruction, and all forms of insecurity across the state’s rural and agricultural zones, reaffirming the government’s commitment to peace, agricultural prosperity, and community well-being.
