The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Judicial Institute (NJI) have affirmed their determination to enhance cooperation in Nigeria’s fight against corruption and financial crimes. This pledge was made on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the NJI Administrator, Hon. Justice B.A. Adejumo, and his management team to the EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja.

Justice Adejumo praised the EFCC’s critical role in safeguarding national resources and called for intensified collaboration, emphasizing the judiciary’s responsibility in upholding integrity and accountability. He remarked that the cooperation between the EFCC and NJI would reinforce efforts to combat corruption, stressing that judges would be educated on relevant laws to support EFCC prosecutions effectively.

In response, EFCC Chairman Olukoyede congratulated Justice Adejumo on his appointment and reiterated the Commission’s commitment to deepening ties with the judiciary. He acknowledged the vital role of judicial support for the successful investigation and prosecution of financial crimes and assured that EFCC will continue to operate diligently and professionally to uphold justice.
