Economic hardship: Man allegedly trampled to death after falling at Customs’ office while trying to get rice

A man has allegedly died after people stamped on him at the Nigeria Customs Service office while trying to get rice.

The Customs on Friday, February 23, commenced the sale of seized bags of rice to the public at the rate of N10,000 per 25kg.

A medical doctor, Yemoka Adunola, who disclosed this via X on Friday night, said the man fell while in the queue and before he could get up, the crowd stamped on him.
