In a heartfelt Service of Songs held at Foundation Faith Church, Yenagoa, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State paid tribute to the late Pastor (Mrs.) Maria Madumom Okoloba, extolling her virtues of kindness, good stewardship, and love that positively impacted many lives. The governor urged the people of Bayelsa to constantly self-reflect on their deeds and to live righteously by both God and man, emphasizing that one’s legacy is defined by their actions.
Governor Diri called for unity and mutual support among the people, questioning why discord persists when the true measure of a person is the good they leave behind. He reminded the gathering that it is only through good stewardship and love that one is truly remembered.
The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries including Hon. Chief Ayibanengiyefa Egba representing Yenagoa Constituency 1, Hon. Charles Daniel representing Brass Constituency 1, the Secretary to the State Government Professor Nimibofa Ayawei, members of the State Executive Council, and other top government officials.

This tribute stands as a testament to the late Pastor Okoloba’s lasting influence on her community and reflects Governor Diri’s commitment to celebrating selfless service and virtuous leadership.
