A massive gathering of corporate titans, top government functionaries, and traditional rulers will converge on the historic town of Koko in Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State, to bid a final farewell to the late Elder Emmanuel Tunde Oludewa Aganbi.
The prominent businessman, community leader, and Board of Trustees member of the Canaan Land Golf Course and Country Club passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, in Abuja at the age of 73, just weeks shy of his 74th birthday.
A statement released by the family of Sir Stephen Aganbi—the legendary Second Republic politician, lawyer, and Bible translator—confirmed that the three-day funeral rites will span from Thursday, June 25, to Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Hon. Felix Aganbi, Chief Executive Officer of the Akogate Group, praised the late patriarch for his unwavering commitment to family unity and community development. He described Elder Aganbi as an institutional builder whose life was deeply rooted in accountability, fairness, humility, and compassion.
The funeral arrangements will proceed as follows:
- Thursday, June 25, 2026: Service of Songs at Christiana Hall, Koko.
- Friday, June 26, 2026: Open-Air Service and interment at the Canaan Land Golf Course and Country Club, Koko.
