Digital Revolution at FUNAAB: Bookeye Scanner Arrives at Nimbe Adedipe Library

The Nimbe Adedipe Library at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has proudly introduced the Bookeye Scanner, a state-of-the-art digital scanning solution now accessible to all staff and students. This advanced technology allows for the preservation of academic materials—such as theses, dissertations, and project reports—in digital format without causing any damage to the original copies.

The Bookeye Scanner offers high-quality, professional-grade scans that are archive-ready and easily shareable. Developed with features like a unique V-shaped book cradle and adjustable glass plate, it handles bound books, rare collections, and delicate documents safely and efficiently. This scanner captures images at resolutions up to 600 dpi, supports multiple file formats, and can scan at speeds of up to 20 pages per minute, making it a powerful tool for digitizing academic resources.

For academic staff, the scanner provides an excellent means to digitize lecture notes, course materials, and rare manuscripts, promoting wider knowledge dissemination by contributing to the University’s digital repository.
