Chadian Fugitive Nabbed in Kano, Repatriated

​ABUJA — In a landmark cross-border security operation, the Nigeria Police Force has successfully tracked, apprehended, and repatriated Mahadijiria Abdoulaye, a Chadian national wanted in N’Djamena for a brutal homicide and international drug trafficking.

​Operatives from the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) in Abuja cornered the fugitive following intensive, intelligence-driven operations spanning multiple international boundaries. Abdoulaye had been evading justice following the torture and murder of Nazik Mahamat Saleh on May 3, 2026, in Chad. The severity of the crime led the Court of Appeal in N’Djamena to issue an international arrest warrant on June 22, 2026, for Abdoulaye and her alleged accomplice, Fatime Senoussi Mouktar.

​Trailed to Kano Hideout

​Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, confirmed that intelligence networks successfully tracked the fugitive after she crossed the border into Nigeria.

​”Abdoulaye, who is also linked to high-level narcotics trafficking activities within Chad, sneaked into Nigeria to evade justice,” CSP Iniedu stated.

​The manhunt culminated on August 5, 2026, when law enforcement swooped on her hideout located at the Railway Quarters within the Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

​Seamless Bilateral Repatriation

​Following thorough interrogation and administrative protocols, security frameworks were activated to return the suspect to her home country to face trial.
