The stage is set to dissect real reasons why the Nigerian Government continues to grope in the dark regarding how to proffer immediate and long lasting solutions to hunger and hardship being faced by nigerians since the President Bola Tinubu Era began 21 months ago.

This will be the issue on the front burner on the popular monthly interview discourse, Boiling Point Arena on Sunday February 9, 2025, with financial transparency advocate, Mr Seun Onigbinde and notable columnist, Prof. Farooq Kperogi on the podium as discussants.

The forthcoming edition of Boiling Point Arena, which is the 28th installment over the past two years, holds via Zoom and to be broadcast live on three radio stations, WASH 94.9FM, Lagos, Sweet 107.1FM and Roots 97.1FM, Abeokuta.

The once-in-a-month current affairs programme with an incredibly large online followership, is hosted by the Convener, Dr Ayo Arowojolu, a media professional with 35 years multi-varied work career spanning the media, banking and education sectors.

Both Onigbinde and Kperogi are to thrash the topic: “Nigeria’s Economic Crises, Hardship Biting Harder Despite Government Palliatives and Measures, When will Nigerians Begin to Breathe?”

Mr Suen Onigbinde is a prominent figure in Nigeria’s civic realm who co-founded the organization, BudgIT, to bolster fiscal transparency and institutional accountability.

A well-known Columnist and Author of several books, Kperogi has contributed numerous conference presentations, book chapters, and journal articles, some of which have received international recognition.

Foremost traditional ruler, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, is expected to deliver a keynote address to herald the discourse, in his capacity as Chairman, Boiling Point Council of Royals and Elders.

According to a statement by the Chairman, Organizing Committee for the programme, Dr Eddy Ademosu, one of Nigeria’s notable Public Relations Icon, the interview discourse will in particular point the way forward for reinventing Nigeria’s economy in such a way to mitigate hunger and hardship in pragmatic ways.

Dr Ademosu commended the Management of Sweet FM, chaired by its Promoter, Senator Olugbenga Obadara, and the owners of WASH 94.9FM and Roots FM for identifying with worthy causes through partnering with the Boiling Point platform to widen the audience reach of the programme via their terrestrial and online channels.
