Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie Johnson, 35. has announced that she is heavily pregnant with the couple’s third child. She shared this in an instalgram post : “New team member arriving in just a few weeks.
“I’ve felt pretty exhausted for much of the last 8 months but we can’t wait to meet this little one.
“Wilf is v excited about being a big brother again and has been chattering about it nonstop. Don’t think Romy has a clue what’s coming… She soon will!”
The couple already share three-year-old Wilf and little girl Romy, who was born in December 2021.
The new arrival will be their first child to be born since Johnson, 58, exited Downing Street last year after losing the confidence of his Conservative Party.
They were married in May 2021, in an intimate ceremony in Westminster Abbey.
Boris Johnson did not have any child with his first wife Allegra Mostyn-Owen, although he is known to have four children with his second wife, Marina Wheeler, the pair separated in 2018 and have Lara Lettice, 27, Milo Arthur, 25, Cassia Peaches, 23, and Theodore Apollo, 21.
He also had a child, born in 2009, as a result of an affair with art consultant Helen Macintyre.
Mr Johnson, who left Downing Street in September, became the first prime minister to marry while in office for nearly 200 years.
In an interview in 2021, Mr Johnson said it was “fantastic” living with a baby in No 10 but “a lot of work”.
