Makurdi, Benue State – Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Directorate, on Friday, June 20, 2025, arrested Dr. Mkor Aondona, the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning. He was apprehended in Makurdi following serious allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.
The arrest stems from complaints by several female students who accused Aondona of unethical and criminal conduct involving sexual exploitation, cyberbullying, and blackmail. According to the petitioners, Aondona allegedly recruited “slim and attractive girls” for ushering jobs, making sexual favors a prerequisite for their selection.
The students claimed they felt compelled into sexual acts with him, unaware that he was reportedly recording these encounters without their consent. They further alleged that Aondona used these videos to threaten them, demanding continued sexual favors by threatening to leak the explicit content if they refused.
Additionally, Aondona is accused of blackmail, with allegations that he distributed explicit videos of the girls, supposedly recorded without their knowledge or consent, across various messaging platforms. Some of these videos are reportedly already in circulation.
The EFCC has confirmed that Dr. Aondona will be charged in court soon, as investigations continue into the full scope of these allegations.
