While still battling with the order of the Ogun State Police for him to report or risk arrest, the controversial artiste, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as “ Portable” is again in the news for a negative reason.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the current predicament of the controversial artiste is coming barely twenty fours after the Ogun State Police in a statement signed by the PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi ordered him to submit himself to police authorities or risk arrest. The directive of the police boss was premised on the alleged act of lawlessness displayed by the artist in a viral video. In the video which was claimed to have been recorded in a place within Ogun State, “Portable” leading some others beat up a guy leaving him with bodily injuries.
Unfortunately, while the dust is yet to settle, an aide of the Zazoo crooner while driving the artiste’s Range Rover Jeep on Tuesday hit a motorcyclist at Iyana Ilogbo area of Ogun State and sadly, the motorcyclist has been confirmed dead.
According to the Manager of the artiste, Theresa, she had asked the boy who drove the Range Rover to report himself at the police station. “The boy is at the police station as I speak”, Theresa emphasized.
ValidViewNetwork had earlier posited that the artiste needed help from the police and the general public to reform his orientation in view of his excesses.
ValidViewNetwork further learnt that the accident which allegedly killed the motorcyclist on Tuesday coincides with the day that “Portable” and his lover, Feranmi were to have the naming ceremony of their child whom they welcomed last week. The current state of mind of the Zazoo crooner and his lover could not be ascertained as at the time of this report as they could not be reached for comments.
Though accidents can happen anytime and to anyone. However, the past activities of “Portable” and his boys has normally placed them on the wrong side of public assessment while it is the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies to ensure that the law takes its course.
ValidViewNetwork is of the view that the artiste needs to be intentional in walking out of the webs of controversies and negative publicity while hoping that the current travails will stimulate his reformation.
