Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba II, GCON is 91 Saturday May 10,2025.

Oba Adetona became the Supreme Monarch of Ijebuland at the age of 26,on April 2,1960.

And in the last 65 years he has acquited himself creditably well enjoying the respect of all and sundry in Ijebuland and beyond its shores .

Through thick and thin he has weathered the storm and invested the throne of Awujale of Ijebuland with class, style , panache and most importantly Integrity.
He has over the years become the foremost defender of the tradition, culture and mores of his people championing rejuvenation and modernization where and when necessary.

The Ojude Oba Festival, under his watch, has transmogrified from a a festival of dance and celebration to a major rallying point and cultural tourism where the development of Ijebuland is charted , simulated and stimulated.
Other peoples , seeing the humongous benefits accruing to Ijebuland and its people via the instrumentality of Ojude Oba are following in the same direction and taking a cue from the Ijebu people and their monarch.
He is therefore a progressive reformist .

He has also carved a niche for himself as a foremost patriot and defender of the unity and progress of Nigeria .
