The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has sacked the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ishaku Abbo.
The Court of Appeal voided the election of Abbo of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and declared Amos Yohanna, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the election.
The court also asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to issue new certificate of return to Yohanna.

Abbo was elected in February 2023 under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Abbo confirmed the development to newsmen on Monday.
