
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party disclosed this in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, noting that all other previously announced dates for the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries remain unchanged.
The House of Representatives primary was earlier scheduled to hold on Friday, May 15, 2026.
According to the revised timetable released by the party:
• House of Representatives Primary – Saturday, May 16, 2026
• Senate Primary – Monday, May 18, 2026
• State House of Assembly Primary – Wednesday, May 20, 2026
• Governorship Primary – Thursday, May 21, 2026
• Presidential Primary – Saturday, May 23, 2026
