Portsmouth Crown Court saw 65-year-old Allan Grimson, of Hollesley, Suffolk, plead not guilty to a series of sexual assault charges involving four teenage males and boys, with offences dating back to the 1990s.

Appearing via videolink from HMP Winchester, Grimson denied the rape of an 18-year-old man, along with five counts of indecent assault against the same complainant, allegedly occurring between February and November 1999.
He also entered not guilty pleas to four charges of indecent assault against a second victim, who was under 16 at the time, with these offences reportedly taking place between March and October 1999. Grimson was not required to enter a plea regarding an indecent photo of this same victim.
Further charges to which Grimson pleaded not guilty include indecent assault of a third victim between February and December 1994, and indecent assault of a fourth victim between September and December 1998.
Hampshire Constabulary has previously indicated that the alleged offences occurred in both Portsmouth and Tyne and Wear.
Judge Michael Bowes KC has scheduled a further preliminary hearing for July 14, 2025. The trial is set to commence on June 1, 2026, at Portsmouth Crown Court, though a change of venue remains a possibility.
Judge Bowes cautioned Grimson on the importance of providing a detailed defence statement and the consequences of failing to attend court when required.
