Alaafin Owoade marked his first public appearance following the completion of Oro Ipebi rites as Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, representing Oyo federal constituency, commissioned three projects in his honor.
The projects include the renaming of Fatuke/Elega road to Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade road, the Alamo/Okediji road in Ilora, and a newly installed transformer at Ladigbolu area.
The commissioning occurred as part of the pre-coronation programs for Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade.
Adeyemi urged the people of Oyo to support the Alaafin, who in turn called for unity and support from Oyo indigenes, assuring them of his divine selection.
The event also featured the final match of a football competition sponsored by Hon. Adeyemi, where D Way FC won ₦500,000, Spectrum FC received ₦300,000, and Alatede FC won ₦200,000.
