President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has paid a courtesy visit to former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence.
Sharing the moment via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, Dr. Adesina expressed profound gratitude to the former President for his steadfast support throughout his leadership journey at the AfDB.

“I visited President Buhari to express my deep appreciation for his incredible support — from backing my nomination by President Jonathan to standing firmly with me during challenging times, which ultimately ensured my re-election. Thank you, Sir,” he wrote.
Dr. Adesina, who was first elected as President of the AfDB in 2015 and re-elected in 2020, continues to be a globally respected voice in economic development and policy.
