As encomiums continue to pour in for the celebration of Golden Anniversary of Adesoji Adeliyi, a foremost Alumnus of the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Associate Professor Kayode Ogunjobi FHEA, FFAN and Founder/CEO of ValidViewNetwork has joined in wishing the Golden Boy a happy celebration.
Ogunjobi “Amino” in a heartfelt message described the occasion of Adesoji’s 50th birthday as a “verdict of grace” and a powerful testimony of divine preservation.
In the heartfelt goodwill message to mark the golden anniversary, Ogunjobi noted that attaining 50 years is more than a personal celebration, but a sacred landmark that reflects survival, humility and gratitude to God.
“The 50th birthday is not just a birthday but a sacred landmark in the journey of a man. It is a quiet summit where memory meets meaning and where survival itself becomes a testimony,” he said, adding that at 50, a man speaks less of strength and more of mercy.
Reflecting on the realities of being born in the early 1970s, Ogunjobi recalled the fragile health systems, widespread poverty and high infant mortality rates that defined the era, stressing that every 50th birthday from that generation is a song of mercy.
“Against this sobering background, the 50th birthday of Adesoji Adeliyi speaks loudly. Truly, God has been merciful unto him,” he stated, commending Adesoji for openly acknowledging God’s faithfulness in his life.
Ogunjobi also traced his personal relationship with the celebrant, recalling that they were only casual colleagues during their university days, with little interaction beyond familiarity. According to him, life, time and providence later rekindled the relationship through their alumni platform, where Adesoji’s thoughtful, progressive and consistent contributions quickly stood out.
“From a colleague I barely knew for over twenty years, he has become one of the topmost calls on my phone,” Ogunjobi said, describing the transformation as a strong testament to the enduring power of alumni fellowship and shared history.
He praised Adesoji as warm, dependable, insightful and generous, noting his role as a key encourager and support system within the 1999/2000 alumni set, as well as a trusted adviser on family, leadership and community matters.
“As he attains the golden age, may everything concerning him be golden henceforth — his health, peace, family and endeavours,” Ogunjobi prayed.
