Adeleke Pledges Infrastructure Boom,Urges Diaspora Unity

Osogbo, Osun State – Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to a comprehensive upgrade of infrastructure across the state, promising to deliver top-tier public amenities for all citizens.

Speaking in Osogbo after receiving the prestigious City People award for “Most Impactful Governor of the Year in Infrastructure,” Governor Adeleke, represented by Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Kolapo Alimi, emphasized his government’s steadfast dedication to completing all ongoing and new development projects.

A statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, highlighted key areas of focus, including significant improvements in transport, education, health, and agriculture. Adeleke stressed the critical importance of addressing the infrastructure deficit inherited by his administration, pledging equitable development across all local government areas and urban centers.

“Osun State under our watch is getting upgraded infrastructure in transport, education, health, agriculture, water, power, digital economy, among others. We will not stop until Osun attains the number one position on the infrastructure rating,” Adeleke declared.

In a related development, Governor Adeleke, represented by Soji Adewusi, delivered a notable lecture in London at the Cultural Hangout Festival, marking Africa Day. During his address, he passionately advocated for Nigeria to adopt the successful diaspora engagement strategies employed by Asian and Arab communities. He underscored the vital need for greater cultural cohesion and robust economic empowerment among Africans living abroad.

“The Asian, Indian, and Arab communities in the diaspora are tightly knit, maintaining strong cultural ties with their home countries. Their success stories stem from preserving cultural practices and coordinated support networks. Africans must take a cue from these communities by rejecting individualism and embracing collective empowerment,” Adeleke asserted.

He further called for a sustainable cultural renaissance among Africans in the diaspora, urging coordinated efforts to strengthen cultural identity and enhance economic influence abroad.
