The Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC) 2023 held in Abeokuta for the fourth time running has come and gone. But the import and significance will continue to linger on as particpants have been fired to serve as catalysts and veritable tools towards expanding the work of God and contributing meaninfully to human capital development.

Other highlights of the conference included the conferment of honorary degrees on 29 notable personalities from different parts of the world by the Immanuel Theology Education Institute International, South Africa.

Some of the awardees at the LEIC Nigeria 2023 Conference are Pastor Konrad Oberle from Weinberg Church, Amberg, Germany and popular American televangelist, Dr Mrs Tamike Vudunt Brown. Others are Mr Elijah Ayo Arowojolu, a Media Practictioner and initiator of Boiling Point Platform, Mr Abiodun Lasile and Mr Rufai Oseni of Arise Tv.

Professor Edward Alfred Van Den Berg, the founder and president of Immanuel Theology Education Institute International who presided over conferment of awards as the Chancellor of the Institute expressed his optimism that the award would spur the recipients to greater commitments to the gospel and humanity.

Professor Edward Alfred Van Den Berg while praying for the awardees committed them into the hands of the holy spirit.

Dr. Tamike Brown who was appointed at the Conference as a Professor of Immanuel Theology Education Institute International asserted that the conference had the capability to change the mindset of leaders in the 21st century declaring that the conference was unique in its entirety.

Dr. Tamike Brown, an anointed Woman of God, Chief Executive Officer and President of Outreach International Foundation Inc, Tamike Brown Ministries admonished Christians to always trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and never allow flesh to govern God’s Kingdom plan.

While appreciating the conferment of the award on her, the teleevangelist posited that it was a call to greater service. “Excellent! Your mindset changes immediately knowing that others can trust and look up to you as a Leader of God”.

“Leaders need to be educated, equipped and empowered for God’s end time plan and I am glad we are getting it right”.

According to Mr Ayo Arowojolu who bagged a honorary Ph.D in Theology, the Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc and Leadership Empowerment International Conference are a pride to the Body of Christ.

In his words : “The Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc and Leadership Empowerment International Conference are a pride to the Body of Christ in the sense that we are gradually instituting excellence amongst brethren”.

Arowojolu believes that the awards will inspire greater utilization of gifts and talents towards the cause of humanity.

Speaking further, Arowojolu posited : “Leadership deficit in Africa remains a yoke contributing to our bondage. Leadership must be inspired and taught to begin right from the church as a way of reversing our misery as a nation”.

“In all, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of well-wishes, prayers and felicitations over the award. However, mostly importantly, while I give God the glory for the doctoral honour which , as implied by John 3: 27…A man can receive nothing except it be given by the Lord, I must humble myself to know the huge difference between AWARD and REWARD. Award is only for the natural realm, in heaven, what will take us to the EXPECTED END(Jer 29: 11) is Reward not award”.

Pastor Konrad Oberle from Weinberg Church, Germany simply described the conference as amazing. “It was an amazing conference which impressed me really. I believe strongly that the follow-up on the take-aways from the conference can ignite a global revival .

Rufai Oseni, the Arise Tv presenter was of the opinion that the conference would open a lot of possibilities for the future. On the ward, he simply stated “I am humbled”.

Meanwhile the International Coordinator of LEIC, Prof. Olusesi Obateye echoed that the quality of the awardees is intimidating.

“Nobody among the 29 was given an award not merited. They were people carefully chosen in diverse fields. The awards is not about paper qualification but practical appreciation of people’s contributions in their various fields of endeavour”
