Olajengbesi Unveils 335-Man Campaign Council, Names Adeleke Patron

​Ahead of the January 2027 National Assembly elections, the Accord Party candidate for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has officially unveiled a robust 335-member campaign council.

​Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has been named a grand patron of the organization, alongside Kazeem Akinleye and Dele Faseru. Olajengbesi, a prominent lawyer who previously served as a key spokesperson for Governor Adeleke’s recent 2026 governorship campaign, is looking to unseat the incumbent federal lawmaker, Wole Oke.

​Strategic Structure and Leadership

​The newly established council is engineered to pull together heavy-weight political stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, and grassroots mobilisers.

• ​Executive Leadership: The campaign machinery will be steered by the Osun State Commissioner for Environment, Mayowa Adejorin, who serves as Chairman, alongside the Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, Bayo Ogungbangbe, as Deputy Chairman.
• ​Directorate Operations: Adesoji Baderin assumes office as the Director-General, supported by Ladesuyi Tope (Deputy DG, Obokun) and Sola Adeyekun (Deputy DG, Oriade).
• ​Secretariat & Media: Omotoso Eniola takes charge as Secretary, aided by Ademola Asaju, while Sodiq Lawal Chocomilo drives public communications as the campaign spokesperson.

​Broad-Based Committees

​To ensure total coverage of the constituency, the council splits into 20 specialised sub-committees. These span critical operational fronts, including political strategy, grassroots mobilisation, intelligence and security, youth and women affairs, digital communications, finance, and diaspora outreach.

​Prominent figures appointed to head these units include Tope Abiola (Media and Publicity), Seun Fapounda (Security and Intelligence), and Tola Faseru (Finance and Fundraising).

​Olajengbesi’s ambitious bid seeks to alter the political landscape of Ijesa North, mounting a strong challenge against a legislative seat held for over twenty years. The massive campaign structure signals an aggressive, well-coordinated push ahead of the upcoming polls.
