Former Senator Olusola Adeyeye has said that only President Bola Tinubu and former Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola can resolve their longstanding political differences.
ValidViewNetwork reports that Adeyeye made the comment while discussing the former allies’ relationship on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He recalled the strength of the political bond between Tinubu and Aregbesola before their relationship deteriorated.
Adeyeye suggested that Tinubu may miss Aregbesola’s political partnership even if he would not publicly acknowledge it.
The disagreement between the two men became particularly visible in Osun politics after Tinubu backed Gboyega Oyetola in the 2018 governorship election.
Aregbesola and his supporters subsequently moved away from Tinubu’s political structure in the state and later aligned with the ADC.
Adeyeye’s comments are his political interpretation of the relationship, rather than an announcement of any reconciliation between the two men. ValidViewNetwork reports.
