Man City Hit With Guilty Verdict on 114 Financial Charges

​Manchester City have been rocked by a seismic legal development after reportedly being found guilty on 114 of the 115 financial charges brought against them by the Premier League.

​According to reports breaking from The Athletic and The Times, an independent commission communicated the landmark verdict to Premier League clubs, ruling against the reigning champions on all but one count following a complex, multi-year investigation.

​The charges stem from a sweeping probe launched in February 2009 through 2018—initially triggered by leaked financial documents published by German magazine Der Spiegel in 2018. The allegations centered on Manchester City’s failure to provide accurate financial information regarding sponsorships, operating costs, and overall compliance with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), alongside accusations of failing to fully cooperate with league investigators.
