President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, to commence the second leg of his three-week annual European vacation.
According to government officials, the President was received at the airport by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke. Tinubu initially departed Abuja on August 30, 2026, kicking off the multi-leg break with an initial stop in London, United Kingdom.
The three-week leave comes closely on the heels of the ruling All Progressives Congress releasing its Presidential Campaign Council list, which positions Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima at the helm as chairman and vice chairman. Presidency statements indicate that upon concluding the current holiday, the President will return to Abuja to dive directly into preparations for the upcoming January 2027 general election campaigns.
Paris remains a frequently visited destination for the Nigerian leader. Records tracking his foreign engagements since taking office in May 2023 show that he has logged trips to the French capital multiple times, contributing to an extensive travel tally that spans over 30 countries and more than 270 days abroad.
