Tinubu’s APC has assembled a 223-member 2027 campaign council.
But political machinery must still convince voters facing economic hardship.
The machine is ready.
President Bola Tinubu’s political machinery for the 2027 presidential election is no longer a rumour. It has names.
It has offices. It has directorates.
And it has 223 members.
The All Progressives Congress has constituted its Presidential Campaign Council with Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda is the second vice chairman.
Former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari will serve as Director-General, while Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as secretary.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the council includes political heavyweights across government, the legislature, party structures, media, mobilisation and other areas.
This is not a small campaign team.
It is a political machine.
The structure is impressive
The APC has placed senior politicians in strategic positions.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni are among those assigned major campaign roles.
The council also has directorates for mobilisation, election planning, logistics, media, grassroots engagement and other functions.
Tinubu has told the council to work towards victory in the January 2027 election.
The message from the APC is clear.
The party believes it has a record to defend.
It also believes it has the structure to win.But elections are not won by campaign structures alone.
They are won when voters walk into polling units and make a choice.
The army faces a different battlefield
The biggest challenge for Tinubu may not be inside the APC.
It may be outside the party’s meeting rooms.
Nigeria’s economic reforms have produced a complicated political picture.
The removal of the petrol subsidy and changes to the foreign exchange system have brought major economic disruption, even as the government argues that the reforms are creating the foundation for future growth.
For ordinary Nigerians, the political argument often begins with a simpler question.
Am I better off?
That question will follow the APC into 2027.
So will insecurity, food prices, unemployment and household income.
The opposition will try to turn those frustrations into votes.
Tinubu’s campaign will try to persuade voters that the pain is part of a longer economic recovery.
That is the real contest.
223 names cannot vote
The APC has built an impressive political structure.
But 223 campaign council members cannot vote 223 times each.
Every voter still gets one ballot.
That is why the coming campaign will be more than a parade of political heavyweights.

It will be a test of whether the government’s message can travel from Abuja to the market, from the governor’s office to the bus stop, and from party meetings to Nigerian homes.
The APC has the machine.
The opposition has the grievances.
The electorate has the final word.
And that is where Tinubu’s real 2027 battle begins. ValidViewNetwork reports.
