Aiyedatiwa Recalls Fasoranti as Ondo SSG Months After Senate Bid

​AKURE — Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the immediate reinstatement of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

​Dr. Fasoranti’s return comes months after he voluntarily stepped down from the critical state position on March 30, 2026, to contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections for the Ondo Central Senatorial District.

​The reappointment was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

​Before his initial appointment to the cabinet—and his subsequent brief departure for legislative ambitions—Dr. Fasoranti built a solid reputation in public administration, governance, and policy formulation, in addition to previously serving as the Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board. Hailing from the Akure South Local Government Area, he is also recognized as a prominent figure locally, being the son of the esteemed Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

​In welcoming him back to the fold, Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the returning SSG and tasked him with hitting the ground running. The Governor urged him to match his wealth of experience with renewed dedication, absolute integrity, and an unwavering commitment to driving the “Our Ease” administrative agenda forward for the benefit of all residents across Ondo State.
