​KUWAIT CITY/MANAMA — The escalating military confrontation between the United States and Iran spilled over heavily into civilian centers across the Arabian Gulf on Monday, as renewed drone and missile salvos targeted vital power and water installations in Kuwait and critical air navigation systems in Bahrain.

​The strikes mark a dangerous expansion of hostilities following the collapse of a regional ceasefire earlier this month. Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy reported that a major power and water distillation plant caught fire for the second consecutive day, leaving multiple power generation units crippled. Bahraini officials confirmed that hostile drones specifically targeted civilian air navigation and traffic equipment, though core operations remained stable.

​The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the coordinated salvos, stating that its forces executed simultaneous missile and drone strikes against multiple regional positions, including US military support hubs at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait and facilities in Bahrain. Tehran maintains that the operations serve as direct retaliation for persistent American airstrikes targeting Iranian military command hubs, missile complexes, and naval infrastructure.
