There are birthdays, and there are milestones that deserve to be celebrated with deep gratitude, glowing tributes, and heartfelt reflections. For Deaconess Ilo Olasunmbo Mopelola, July 2, 2026 is one of such remarkable moments as she clocks 50, a golden age that symbolizes grace, maturity, fruitfulness, resilience, and the faithfulness of God through the seasons of life.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the atmosphere of joy, thanksgiving, and warm celebration surrounding Deaconess Mopelola’s Golden Jubilee is a fitting tribute to a woman whose life has been marked by service, compassion, devotion to God, loyalty to family, and commitment to humanity.
Born on July 2, 1976 to the family of Late Mr. and Mrs. Abiodun of blessed memory, Deaconess Mopelola has journeyed through life with quiet strength and steady grace. She began her educational pursuit at St. Peter’s Primary School, Ake, Abeokuta between 1983 and 1988, before proceeding to Lantoro High School, Abeokuta from 1989 to 1994. She later attended the Federal College of Education, where she obtained her NCE between 1998 and 2001, and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Education in Educational Management from the University of Ilorin in 2009.
Today, she stands fulfilled as an accomplished educationist and a woman of purpose, currently serving as a Grade Level 15 teacher at Radev Early Education Centre, Iberekodo, Abeokuta. Her story is one of diligence, perseverance, and divine help. She is also a devoted wife and mother, having married Pastor Ilo Olugbenga Thomas in 2005, with the union blessed with wonderful children.
Beyond the classroom and the home front, Deaconess Mopelola has distinguished herself in the household of faith. She worships at Power of His Resurrection Church under the leadership of Pastor Olukehinde Johnson, where she serves faithfully as Choir Director and Church Treasurer. Those who know her describe her as gentle but strong, humble but effective, prayerful, generous, and deeply committed to the wellbeing of others.
A golden jubilee is more than the celebration of age. It is the celebration of impact, endurance, memories, sacrifices, relationships, and the mercy of God that has sustained a life through five decades. Fifty is often seen as a golden season because it represents a point where experience meets wisdom, service meets honour, and labour begins to speak in blessings. For Deaconess Mopelola, family members, church leaders, friends, and loved ones say this golden milestone is richly deserved, ValidViewNetwork reports.

Among the touching tributes shared in her honour is that of her biological brother, Pastor Goodness Olalekan Joseph Abiodun, who described her as not just a sister but a blessing to the family and a woman whose compassionate spirit has remained constant through the years.
Celebrating her with deep affection, he wrote: “Today I celebrate my wonderful direct aburo Deaconess Victoria Olasunmbo Mopelola Ilo nee Abiodun on your golden jubilee celebration. Growing up with you has been a blessing. You are our parents’ first female child after my elder brother and myself. I remembered vividly how our father survived an accident while you were still in the womb in 1976, the story as told by our late mum.”
He went on to recall her loyalty and loving nature from childhood, saying: “You have always followed me everywhere from primary school, to secondary and even to our former church God’s Love Bible Church, Okejigbo, Abeokuta. You are a very willing and compassionate giver, always willing to help if it’s within your power, a singer and prayer champion, one that will go to any length to make sure her siblings and immediate family are okay.”
In perhaps one of the most emotional parts of his tribute, Pastor Abiodun acknowledged the role she has played in the family since the passing of their mother. According to him, “Since the passage of our dearly beloved mum, you have really played the role of our mother very well.” He then offered prayers for her new season: “As you mark this milestone year of your life, it’s my sincere prayer that God bless and keep you and make His face shine upon you continually. You will live long enough with your husband to eat the fruits of your labours on your children. Aburo mi Mopelola Amope, you are blessed and highly favoured.”

Her Pastor, Pastor Olukehinde Johnson, also penned a glowing tribute titled “A Tribute to a Virtuous Woman – Deaconess Ilo Mopelola at 50,” in which he celebrated her as a faithful daughter of Zion, a dependable church worker, and a woman whose life bears the unmistakable imprint of God’s mercy.
Reflecting on how their paths crossed in 2007, Pastor Johnson recounted a season that became a testimony of divine intervention in the life of the celebrant. In his words: “Our paths crossed in 2007 when she and her husband first walked into the church I pastor at Elega. At that time, they had been trusting God for the fruit of the womb. We joined our faith together in a simple prayer, and the God who answers prayers visited them with His mercy, blessing them with beautiful children. Their testimony remains a constant reminder that with God, nothing shall be impossible.”
He praised the celebrant and her husband for their loyalty and unwavering commitment to the work of God, saying: “Over the years, she and her beloved husband have grown into faithful, committed, and dependable disciples. They have stood by me and the ministry through seasons of joy and challenge. Their unwavering support, sacrificial service, and genuine love have been a source of encouragement and strength.”
Speaking on her service in church, the Senior Pastor commended her diligence as Choir Coordinator and highlighted the impact of her leadership. “As the Choir Coordinator of our church, she has served with diligence, humility, and excellence. Through her leadership, worship has continued to bless lives and glorify God. She has demonstrated that true leadership is rooted in faithfulness, commitment, and a sincere desire to see God’s kingdom advance,” he said.

Pastor Johnson further described her as “a devoted wife, a caring mother, a faithful disciple, an exemplary church worker, and a blessing to everyone privileged to know her.” He added: “Your quiet strength, gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and unwavering loyalty have made you a priceless asset to the body of Christ.” He prayed that as she steps into a new season, “the Lord crown your years with greater glory… and that your latter years surpass the former in every good thing.”
ValidViewNetwork reports that the celebration of Deaconess Mopelola’s 50th birthday has also drawn warm felicitations from the Founder and CEO of ValidViewNetwork, Kayode Ogunjobi, PhD, FHEA, FFAN, who joined members of her family, friends, and the wider ValidViewNetwork community in honouring a woman he described as “a cherished friend, a committed supporter, and a graceful soul.”

Pastor Ogunjobi, who has known the celebrant for more than two decades, said Deaconess Mopelola’s Golden Jubilee is a moment to celebrate not only her age, but the beauty of her life, the strength of her faith, and the warmth she brings into the lives of others.
In his tribute, he said: “Deaconess Ilo Olasunmbo Mopelola is one of those rare souls whose presence carries peace, kindness, and sincerity. For over two decades, I have known her as a woman of grace, humility, and uncommon loyalty. She is deeply respectful, genuinely caring, and wonderfully devoted to both family and the things of God.”
The ValidViewNetwork Founder added: “At 50, she is not merely celebrating years, she is celebrating impact, relationships, service, and the sustaining mercy of God. Her life reflects strength wrapped in gentleness, faith expressed through service, and love demonstrated in quiet but meaningful ways. She is indeed a golden woman in every sense of the word.”
Ogunjobi prayed for the celebrant’s future with touching warmth: “As she marks this beautiful golden milestone, my prayer is that heaven will decorate the next phase of her life with even greater joy, sound health, peace, fulfilment, and divine surprises. May her home continue to flourish, may her children make her proud, and may the grace of God continually distinguish her. On behalf of ValidViewNetwork, I celebrate Deaconess Mopelola and wish her a truly glorious Golden Jubilee.”

For Deaconess Mopelola herself, the moment is one of gratitude rather than self applause. Reflecting on the journey of five decades, she gave all glory to God for preserving her life in good and sound health and for granting her the grace to witness this memorable season.
Indeed, those who know her say the tributes are not exaggerated. They are reflections of a life that has touched many spaces, from family circles to the classroom, from the choir stand to the church treasury, from friendship to faithful service. At 50, Deaconess Ilo Olasunmbo Mopelola stands as a testimony that a life of humility, devotion, kindness, and consistency will always speak for itself.
As tributes continue to pour in from loved ones at home and abroad, one message rings clearly through every line, every prayer, and every celebration: Deaconess Mopelola is deeply loved, richly valued, and beautifully celebrated.
Happy Golden Jubilee to a virtuous woman, a faithful Christian, a loving wife and mother, a committed teacher, a treasured sister, and a shining member of the ValidViewNetwork family.
May the next chapter be even brighter than the last.
