ABEOKUTA, Nigeria — The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) will host a high-profile virtual lecture on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 16:00 GMT, as part of its highly anticipated 2026 Global Convention.
The event, which will held via a dedicated virtual platform, will bring together leading experts to discuss herbal cultivation and conservation as a critical intervention for sustainable wellness and longevity. This academic discourse will serve as a centerpiece for the week-long convention, which starts on April 28 and is expected to mobilize strategic support for the university’s growth and global engagement.
This was contained in a statement made available by the Chairman, Global Convention Organising Committee, Dr Oludare Adekoyrni.
The lecture, titled “Herbal Cultivation and Conservation: Intervention for Sustainable Wellness and Longevity,” seeks to bridge the gap between traditional botanical wisdom and modern wellness strategies, Adekoyeni stated. As chronic lifestyle diseases rise globally, the event promises to highlight how indigenous medicinal plants can serve as a primary defence for disease prevention and environmental sustainability.
The lecture comes at a time when global wellness trends for 2026 are increasingly pivoting toward lifestyle medicine and bio-active plant quality. Participants can join the session through the official event link at https://bit.ly/FUNAABAlumni2026.
