The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued an urgent public warning concerning Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, a former officer dismissed from the agency, who continues to impersonate DSS personnel while engaging in fraudulent activities. According to an official statement released on Monday, Godwin has been falsely presenting himself as a serving officer of the DSS to extort money from unsuspecting members of the public under various pretenses.

The DSS clarified that Godwin’s association with the agency was terminated and that he no longer holds any official capacity. Despite this, he has continued to exploit the reputable name of the Service in an attempt to deceive and defraud citizens. The Service described his activities as unscrupulous and urged the public to exercise caution and refrain from any form of dealings with him or individuals claiming links to him.
