Breaking: Protesters allegedly set bank on fire in Sagamu

Just a few days after protesters expressed their concern over the current cash crunch in Abeokuta, Lagos, and Ibadan, there have been reports that protesters have again started a massive protest in Sagamu, Ogun State. 

According to viral videos that have surfaced on the internet, some banks were alleged to have been set on fire on Monday morning by protesters. These banks include Keystone Bank, Union Bank, and First Bank. 

Protesters set fire to used tires on both sides of the highway, causing severe traffic congestion.There has also been restricted movement in some parts of the city.

Some of the protesters said that the current cash crunch had created serious pain and agonizing moments, hence the reason for the demonstration.

The protest going on in Sagamu shouldn’t have started in the first place. Presidential election is just 5 days away, why can’t we take this anger and frustration to the polls and do the right thing by voting Peter Obi? Why vandalize the few infrastructure that we have?

I learnt a serious protest is ongoing in Sagamu, the Protesters went to schools to chase away student back home, & they started moving with old naira note & warned that any shop that opens, they will forcefully buy goods with that old notes,

I seriously think Sagamu residents venting their frustration this Monday morning is expected. However, I would rather urge all protesters to shed their angers and direct them to the ballot boxes come Saturday 25th February.
It is POssible with Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed!

Why is it that it is only here in the South that some acclaimed protesters are burning down banks?
A number of these thugs don’t even operate any bank account.No one will burn a bank where his money is kept. I am convinced that they are being mobilized to create chaos.
