It would be recalled that “Emilokan” which has added to the political lexicon of Nigeria emanated from the visit of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to Ogun State as part of the build-up to the presidential primaries of the ruling party, All progressives Congress.
Emilokan in Yoruba language simply means it is my turn. The Presidential aspirant had used this term to express that while he had given other rulers several chances and support, it is his turn to rule as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This assertion has become controversial with sharp divisions among the political gladiators.
“Lule” on the other hand simply means “to fail”. The Presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu therefore asserted that PDP will fail in the forthcoming election.
Having moved from aspirant to candidate and now mobilising for votes in the forthcoming presidential election, it was , therefore, not surprising that a mammoth crowd was on ground in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital to welcome Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as he landed gallantly in the city of Abeokuta, ValidViewNetwork reports. The shout of ”Emi lokan” rented the air.
The environment was charged as the Ogun political machinery was actively mobilised to give the Presidential hopeful a rousing welcome. The fact remains that Ogun State is strategic to the presidential ambition of the ”Emilokan” exponent.
According to the Presidential candidate, he is determined regardless of the challenges ahead. He charged voters not to allow fuel scarcity to affect their resolve as nothing should be allowed to stop or disrupt the election. He alleged that the fuel scarcity is a sabotage and that either there is a fuel crisis or not, the election will hold and he would come out victorious.
“If you like, hide fuel, if you like , hide naira, we will vote and win.”
The APC Presidential candidate claimed that his agenda to rule Nigeria is a superior revolution, ValidViewNetwork reports.
