At least one person has been stabbed to death after a knife man attacked employees at a German company.
A man attacked four employees of a utility company with a knife in Mellrichstadt, a small town in Bavaria.
He has been arrested at the scene, according to German outlet Bild.
A police spokesperson told Bild: ‘Caring for the injured is our top priority, as is clarifying the exact circumstances of the crime,’ said the police spokesman.
They added: ‘A police operation is currently underway in Mellrichstadt. Police officers and emergency services are on scene in large numbers.’
Detectives are now investigating the identity of the suspect and establishing a motive.
It is still unclear what the knifeman’s connection is to Überlandwerke Rhön, the utility company attacked.
