In a significant boost to education in Ogun State, the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun has pledged a N2 billion intervention package for Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta. The announcement was made during the institution’s 15th combined Convocation Ceremony held at the Ojere campus.
The intervention includes the construction of a 500-seater ultramodern lecture theatre, a new access road to the auditorium, a dedicated building for the Department of Accountancy, a new block for the School of Business and Management Studies (SBMS), and the equipping of a state-of-the-art library. Additionally, a 28-seater bus was donated to the institution as part of the convocation celebrations.
To honor academic excellence, the government awarded ₦2.5 million each to the best graduating students from the 2015 to 2024 sets, recognizing these young achievers as the future leaders of the state.

MAPOLY, once in a dormant state, has been revitalized under the current administration, now thriving and producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to society. The government emphasized its commitment to education, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), as a key driver for empowerment and sustainable development.
The administration congratulated the graduates, their families, and the entire MAPOLY community, reaffirming its dedication to transforming Ogun State through strategic investments in human capital.
