The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a police officer and two members of a local vigilante group following allegations of assault and misconduct against a tricyclist.

In a statement released today, the Command confirmed that Inspector Ibrahim Usman, attached to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Jimeta, was apprehended alongside vigilante members Papa Andema and Lele Audu for conducting themselves in an unprofessional and uncivil manner towards a member of the public.
The arrest follows the circulation of a viral video which captured the trio allegedly assaulting the tricyclist — an action that contravenes the ethics and Standard Operating Procedures of the Nigeria Police Force.
