Olu Agunloye, the national secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has filed a petition with Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, alleging a plot to coerce him into resigning from his position. According to sources, certain SDP members aligned with Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State who recently joined the party, are driving this effort.
Agunloye confirmed submitting the petition, stating that it involves a person who forged letterhead paper and is threatening him to step down. The situation highlights internal tensions within the SDP.
