A non-governmental organization, Lineage of Grace Initiative for Family (LOGIFF), has rescued a homeless mentally unstable minor who was allegedly abducted and sexually molested by a man in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to LOGIFF, the minor who has been christened Moranugba, was taken in by a single man, Mr. Peter Adegoke, who claimed to have met her on the streets.
However, neighbors became suspicious and alerted LOGIFF, which swiftly intervened and reported the matter to the Nigerian Police Force, Obantoko Division.
Despite initial concerns that it may be difficult to establish a case against Mr. Adegoke due to his alleged mental instability, LOGIFF has been working tirelessly to secure justice for the minor and ensure her safety.
In collaboration with the Ogun State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, and the Director of Social Services in Juvenile Remand Home, Ms. Jenrade Adeyeye, LOGIFF has secured a place for Moranugba at the Remand Home, where she will receive care and support.
The minor was officially taken to the Remand Home on Friday, accompanied by LOGIFF team members and representatives of the Ogun State government, ValidViewNetwork reports.
