Detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has made a plea to the Federal High Court, urging to be transferred to Kuje prison from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kanu alleged that the DSS lacked adequate medical facilities to treat his health conditions, expressing concerns over a perceived conspiracy for him to perish while in their custody.
He expressed, “Visitors are denied access to see me. The DSS lacks medical infrastructure. I suffer from congestive heart failure, and they are providing makeshift treatment.”

Kanu further disclosed, “I have a swollen foot, and despite requesting surgery, they claim inability to provide it.
There seems to be a plot for me to meet my demise while detained.
Therefore, I request to be relocated to Kuje prison.”
Further details are awaited on this matter.
