Nollywood actor Kingsley Orji made a public appeal for financial assistance on behalf of renowned Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor, who urgently requires a kidney transplant procedure in India.
Orji, also a prominent figure in the Nollywood industry, took to his Instagram account on Sunday to disclose Muonagor’s recent discharge from the hospital due to financial limitations.
He expressed concern over the toll the illnesses have taken on Muonagor’s health, notably impacting his speech and overall well-being.
Speaking in both Igbo and English, Orji conveyed the severity of Muonagor’s condition, emphasizing the urgent need for support to facilitate his travel to India for the transplant surgery.

Orji stressed the urgency of the situation, highlighting Muonagor’s difficulty in communication and emphasizing the necessity of assistance from well-wishers.
While the exact amount required for the transplant surgery was not disclosed, Orji provided Muonagor’s bank details and contact information for those willing to contribute to the cause.
In November 2023, Tony Muonagor, Amaechi’s cousin, revealed that the actor was contending with a trifecta of health challenges: kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke.
His condition had deteriorated, leading to regular dialysis sessions and physiotherapy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra.
