Egbe Omo Otun Abroad, a diaspora group, has announced its intervention in the General Hospital, Otun Ekiti, located in the Moba Local Government area of Ekiti State. The initiative aims to address equipment deficiencies to enhance healthcare services for the local community.
During the presentation of items to the hospital on Friday, the group’s President, Alhaji Tiamiyu Salau, represented by the immediate past president, Dr. Abiodun Orisasona, emphasized the urgent need for intervention due to the critical shortage of basic amenities at the general hospital.
Salau stated, “Recognizing the adverse impact of such deficiencies on community members seeking medical care, we deemed immediate action necessary.”

The items donated include 20 ultra-modern single crank beds designed for optimal patient comfort and ease of care, along with 20 matching bedside cabinets providing essential storage and convenience.
Additionally, the donation comprises 20 high-quality mattresses and pillows to ensure proper support and rest for patients.
Furthermore, the intervention includes 105 sets of crisp bed sheets to foster an environment of dignity and care, along with two units of Sphygmomanometers for blood pressure monitoring, and two units of baby weight machines for accurate weight measurement.
Additionally, the group donated five units of baby cribs along with 20 sets of bed sheets to provide a safe and comfortable space for children receiving care at the hospital.
